The Engineering Challenge
Google Maps renders listings in the page, so a server-side scraper sees very little; but a browser extension alone has nowhere to put what it collects.
The Solution & Architecture
Split in two: the extension reads the listings from the page the user is already looking at, and a small Node server receives and stores them. Neither half tries to do the other's job.
