MUN Pilot
MUN Pilot runs Model UN conferences end to end: delegates find a conference and apply, organisers handle fees, passes and staff, and on the day chairs run committees live — motions, speakers' lists, votes and caucus timers synced to every delegate in the room, with video for online sessions. 81 pages and 74 API routes on the web, plus a native Android app on the same backend. Live at munpilot.com.
Private Client Repository
This software was engineered for a private business or client organization. If you are a hiring manager, technical lead, or potential client wishing to inspect the architecture and code quality, I would be pleased to grant you access or provide a code walkthrough. Please contact me at [email protected].

The Engineering Challenge
The whole platform runs on Firebase's free Spark plan, where 50,000 document reads a day is a hard cap for the entire project. Going over it does not slow one feature down; every read everywhere fails until midnight Pacific. It happened once, from a single admin page polling a collection-group scan every ten seconds.
The Solution & Architecture
Reads are treated as a budget. No Firestore call ever sits in a timer: countdowns tick locally against a synced deadline. Unbounded collection-group scans are banned in favour of a small registry written on state changes, so the admin monitor costs about two reads per running session instead of one per session ever held. Anything that must poll waits at least a minute, only while the tab is visible, and stops on an error instead of retrying into the wall.
