Mrittika
A prototype for a persistent multiplayer life simulation, drawn in 2D isometric. Characters are born, age and die on a shared world clock through six seasons modelled on the Bengali calendar, and families carry on across generations. A TypeScript monorepo with a PixiJS client, a Colyseus game server and a separate simulation service; the characters are rendered from 3D models in Blender into layered sprites.
Private Client Repository
This software was engineered for a private business or client organization. If you are a hiring manager, technical lead, or potential client wishing to inspect the architecture and code quality, I would be pleased to grant you access or provide a code walkthrough. The Engineering Challenge
A world that keeps living while players are offline needs the clock, ageing and births to run somewhere other than the game server, and hundreds of character variations — age, sex, skin tone, clothes — cannot be drawn by hand.
The Solution & Architecture
The simulation is its own process with its own store, and the game server only relays what changed. People are built once as 3D bodies and pushed through one Blender render pipeline into layered sprites, about 2,600 frames packed into two atlas pages. Every asset is licence-checked into a registry before it is used.
